JCDL is the major international conference focused on digital libraries and the associated technical, practical, and social issues. The conference draws from diverse discipines including computer science, information sicence, librarianship, archival science and practice, museum studies, technology, medicine, social sciences, and humanities. Session themes include: Automatic Tools for Digital Libraries, Users Lost in Information, Video by the People -- For the People, Geography and Trust on the Web, Preservation and Archiving, Platforms and Users in Digital Librareis, Archiving and Web Tools for Digital Libraries, It's the Metadata Stupid, Expanding Search, Content from Documents, Data from the Web, Beyond Text, Interfaces and Navigation. JCDL 2008 is hosted by the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. It is being held in conjunction with Hypertext 2008 (June 19-21).
