9 New Web Usability Heuristics with Børge Kristensen
Meetup Details
UX Design (user experience) is an essential component in digitalization. And web usability is an important discipline within the UX field. At this event, 9 new usability principles (or heuristics) for the web will be introduced. Simplicity, structure, and clarity are among the qualities that make websites easy to use. By evaluating user interfaces against such principles, you can easily recognize usability problems and root them out. This is called Heuristic Evaluation.
By analyzing 299 usability problems found through testing of modern websites, Børge Kristensen and Marie Soelberg have identified 9 new usability heuristics. These principles closely match the current issues that users are experiencing on the web. Older sets of heuristics are deduced from usability problems found in software from the 1990s.
You will learn how to use the new heuristics with two powerful usability inspection methods at this event.
