One Informationist and two Data Scientists - all alumni from Robert Gordon University met on this occasion, to discuss the possibility and opportunities for collaboration in our future careers.

Although in principle these two aspects of working with data and information are complementary, all the participants find themselves in the chaotic stage of starting up our businesses currently. Thus, we are mostly absorbed in the practicalities of setting up business and finding paying clients.

Nevertheless, we have agreed to remain in touch and continue to explore future opportunities.

The venue and the timing of the meeting were perfect for all those involved.

Meetup attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meetup by clicking “Attend this meetup” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meetups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meetup (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meetups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
