Thanks for creating this Meet-up Jerusha. Who is the main host for this event? It would be great if I could also meet the orginizers for this event to learn more of the space and how our group could become more involved with future events.

The host listed on the Meet-up details page is Billy Hoffman. I am not an official promoter for the event or the Atlanta Web Performance Group. I'm just signed up to several UX Meet-ups in Atlanta and decided to share an interesting one I was going to this week. I'm sure the host would be open to doing an official collaboration if you contacted him directly.
