Yes, If someone gets upgraded to the Guest-list from wait-list. They will receive a confirmation mail.
Only Guest-list people can avail the access to the event.

Hi! Just need to clarify, there's an option underneath this event post "attend this meetup" and then there's a link for free registration mentioned.

So my question is, which should I believe? Because I did both, I want to attend this event and not come back without it.

Everyone must complete the registration at the link in the description (nvite page)

And the process follows as, applicants fill the Guest-list (limited seats) and rest of them adds to the wait-list.
later We would check with the guest-list for a final confirmation 2-3 days in prior to the event to confirm their seats. And add applicants from wait-list if there is any drop off from the Guest-list in FCFS priority.

Unfortunately we couldn't consider anyone from the wait-list.
Note: I can find you (Avitha) on the wait-list. apologies. Let's catch-up for our next meetup.
