Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF Rotterdam,
I would like to connect with UXers around me. This is my first shot at an online meetup and hence the name "Hello". Following are my objectives for the meetup;
- providing an opportunity for others and myself to connect with UXer's in the country
- if things click and if something exciting comes out of the online meetup, we could plan for a physical meetup
- to get an idea of how active the IxDF Rotterdam community is
- getting an experience of facilitating an online meetup

The tone/setting for the meetup is pretty casual-somewhat like storytelling where participants can introduce themselves and talk about their career as an UXer. I am working on a format to make the most out of that one hour. Will keep you guys updated on the hangout link and the format once its ready.

Please feel free to drop in suggestions and ideas/questions for the format. Off the top of my head, following are my questions for the format;
- a brief introduction ; what do you do exactly?
- nuances noticed in your UX career
- impediments experienced in your UX career
- is a formal education in UX really necessary?
- how do you deal with your non-UX team members
- word of advise, tips & tricks based on your experience

Lets make this hangout worthwhile !

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
