πŸ”Š Matthew Luken is a Vice President & Principal Strategy Consultant at Deque. Prior to Deque, Matthew built and ran U.S. Bank’s enterprise-level digital accessibility program.

πŸ“Œ Intersectionality of Design and Accessibility Conformance (Co-host Softhouse)

Join Matthew Luken of Deque Systems for an interactive online session on the intersectionality of design practices and accessibility conformance. In digital accessibility, his research has found that 67% of defects can be reduced within the design discipline. Luken will help us explore where designers can make meaningful investments in ensuring their designs are accessible and how designers can help reduce accessibility defects through the rest of the development and testing cycles. This session will provide examples and information usable for designers at any level of their careers. There will be a question and answer period as well; please bring your questions.

See you online! ☺️

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking β€œAttend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as β€œattending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
