Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF Hasselt,

It's been a while since our last meetup and a lot of new members have joined in the meantime. So let's meet again!

Unfortunately the Covid pandemic is delaying our first in-person session, so let's have a chat online again.

The meetup will take place on Saturday 29th August at 11AM via Zoom.

For this session, I want to ask you to think about which challenge was the hardest you faced in your product design career so far. Let's exchange some of these experiences and discuss on ways to tackle these challenges.

Looking forward to talk to you on the 29th August!

Best regards,

Brecht

Brecht

Thanks for joining our cozy online summer meetup! It was great getting to meet some new faces.

Things to remember from this meetup:

  • We will set up a Slack group to enable more direct communication between group members
  • For user research it might be challenging to find participants that have specific characteristics. Try to use social media such as LinkedIn to find and approach the right people. Also, dedicated user testing platforms such as usertesting.com exist that assess which people apply to your research.
  • The efficiency of design workshops goes down when the number of attendees increases. Try to stick to a group of 3-4 people from different backgrounds to ensure a great outcome.

A next meetup will be scheduled in ~2 months. Hopefully we can meet in real life somewhere in Hasselt!

Cheers,

Brecht

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
