Meet-Up Details
Let’s meet to discuss growing in UX, finding opportunities, building careers, portfolios and more!
What & where:
This will be a relaxed round-table event at Space4.tech coworking space, just next to Finsbury Park tube station (that’s on the Victoria line, a couple of stops north from Kings Cross). There's a map on their website.We will also minute the event on the IxDF London Slack (direct link to the Slack channel for the event is here). Afterwards we can decamp to the nearby WB Yeats pub too.
Format:
A pretty relaxed and constructive round-table in the Space4 big room, followed by drinks. :) We'll have a projector and a laptop so we can look at things and collaborate on screen too.
I’ll put together a loose agenda, and to help our discussions it would be great if some people could please offer to speak for a minutes on any career / finding-work related topic. Maybe you'd like to speak about a great development opportunity you’ve done and can recommend to others. Or what has / hasn’t worked for you in building your career. Or a big challenge that you’re facing in your career development.
I’ll offer something for the mix: I can talk about our company Outlandish, which is a worker-owned tech co-operative. It was formed by freelance designers and developers who came together to start a company and build a better way of working. I can explain how we all collaborate to find work, organise ourselves and make a living!
