Meet-Up Conversation

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss IxDF London Online Meet-up / October held on Oct 29, 2020. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi, I would like to discuss in this meeting about possibilities of IxDF students supporting each other mutually in their projects and early journey in UX. This might even include commenting on each other's projects and filling out each other's questionnaires. Form small study groups to help each other give more practise to conduct interviews and brainstorming sessions. At the moment, I feel it is all too passive and dull. Sorry.

Is it at 19:00 London UK Time? Also, would suggest to discuss ux portfolio questions ? Eg those at the meeting who have made progress with a case study/ studies would be OK to discuss their work and get feedback . Also, those students who are beginning a case study and have questions to discuss on the process? I thought would be helpful. Looking forward !

Hi everyone, thanks for joining the meet-up! I think Arup's suggestion is really good, and would also facilitate what Sharon is looking for from the meet-up.

To clarify, yes the meet-up is at 7pm UK time (so 19:00 GMT), and it might be nice if everyone who is still thinking of joining this meeting say hi in the comments, maybe briefly introduce themselves, and mention what they're wanting to discuss if they have anything in mind.

I'm Oyku, I'm Turkish but living in London. I'm quite new to UX, just got my first commercial project working with a startup founder on his funded project. I'm hoping to see where everyone else is in their journey and exchange resources.

Hi everyone, looking forward to meeting everybody in a few hours! I'm sending the link to a Google doc where I thought we could each add questions, topics we wanna discuss. Please add anything you'd like addressed.

Thanks Oyku for organising the meetup! It's nice to interact with experienced "people experience" designers and ask questions. It'd be nice if this could be regular.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
