Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss IxDF Melbourne Hangout held on May 1, 2020. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

With the economic impacts of COVID-19 reverberating across the globe, I'd love to hear your how you're all coping with remote working and the possibility / likelihood of a more connected global economy with virtual offices instead of fixed corporate addresses. Or will everything just go back to our old patterns? As the world is thrown into a state of flux, will we find new normal? As designers, I can't help but feel our skills have a greater purpose here. What is our role in this?

So excited to join this community. Looking forward to the May 1 meetup! I am sure it has been a challenging time for all of us but it would be great to discuss UX with like minded people and distract myself from all the craziness that has been going on.

Thank you for organising this event! Recently emigrated from the UK. Looking forward to meeting everyone. I am a UX beginner that is starting the long road towards a career transition in UX.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
