Meet-Up Conversation

Hi Debbie, Thanks for organising the meet up! See you there.

Hi Kirsten, Thanks I am excited and am looking forward to meet you and hear about your journey. See you there.

At last! Some one who actually created a meet up URL! Well done!

Thanks Ian. I am excited to be hosting this event and connecting with others. Looking forward to hear about your journey!

Thanks @Debbie Lee.

Great to hear from you Ami. See you soon!

Hi everyone, I'm not a designer but a curriculum developer who explores UX as a 'digital dramaturge'. This means that I pay attention to all the research poured out by the performance historians on cognition and sociologists like Erving Goffman. I know... it's a bit weird but nonetheless meaningful to me as I attempt to design learning experiences that cater for the brightest kids. For instance, one of my assignments is creating products for a fiction writer who has devised a series of books entitled the 'Young philosophers series'. So I look forward to just listening to your work on Friday and thinking about the implications of designing and arranging experiences online for productive ends. It's a delicious problem and I promise to stay respectfully quiet.

Hi Josey, Thanks for taking the time to share your journey with us. I am new to ixDF and have created this event as an opportunity for members to introduce ourselves to the group and connect. Your work sounds fascinating and exciting! I am beginning to appreciate how the UX platform has the potential to draw diverse group of people together to further enhance our ability to create thoughtful experiences in the digital space. Look forward to meeting you tomorrow!

Debbie, thanks for organising, appreciate the opportunity to hear and talk about how everyone got to this point. Hopefully more metups to come.

Thanks John. I appreciate the opportunity to connect and hear about your journey. It will certainly be great to meet again at future meetups. All the best, Debbie

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
