What are Local Groups?

A Local Group is a group of people who, like you, are passionate about design. Local Groups organize meetings to get inspired, have fun and learn from one another.

Meet-Up Details

Hi, IxDF Minneapolis! Let’s meet online and discuss UX! Let's get to know each other! Log-in and dial-in info is pasted below. If possible, please RSVP (express interest) by Saturday morning.

This meet-up will be a casual session with no particular agenda. We can decide as a group what to discuss. As the initial organizer, I'm personally motivated to build a social/support network with IxDF students & alumni. If you're seeking something else, let's discuss it. Non-IxDF members are also welcome to join in!

If this date/time doesn't work for you, please let me know what would work better. I can reschedule this meet-up if needed. I also hope to schedule future sessions too, and I can be flexible.

About me:

  • My name is EJ Makela (aka "Johnny").

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss IxDF Minneapolis Meet-Up held on Nov 12, 2022. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.
  • You are not required to RSVP (express interest), but I would appreciate it to get a sense of how many people may join in.

  • Don’t hesitate to comment with alternative or future dates & times that work for you. I plan to host one (or more) sessions, and I can be flexible!

Hi EJ,

Nice to meet you via online. I would be interested in future meetups. This weekend doesn’t work for me though. It would be nice to connect with others.

Hi, Jeannette. Thanks for your response. I was thinking about organizing a second session sometime, maybe even prior to Saturday’s session. Are weekends an option for you in the future? Would you prefer a different day of the week or time of the day?

Jeannette: I have also scheduled a 2nd session for the following week. Tap/click here for more info. As it states, I’m be more than happy to change the date or time to accommodate you and anyone else.

Please log in or join us to post comments in the discussion.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
