Hello everyone!

I’m Linda, and one of the new local leaders. I’m so excited to be joining this amazing group of people.

I’m still getting up to speed on what it means to be a local leader so please be patient with me.

Let’s get a conversation started. How did you get into UX?

For me, I worked for 11 years at the National Student Loan Service Centre before deciding that I’d had enough. I quit and went back to school, to Sheridan College specifically. I started in Visual and Creative Arts before transferring to Interaction Design. I loved the program and happily graduated in 2022. I worked as a UX Researcher for 1 year and 6 months before unfortunately getting laid off (with half the workforce!). Right now I’m working part time at Indigo while networking and job hunting.

Whew! This post was longer than I intended. But seriously, how is everyone right now?
