We’re happy to announce our Expert from the industry, ALEXANDRA MATZ who’d be sharing her design stories and journey so far, with us.

Alexandra Matz is a Chief User Experience Design Expert, Design Researcher and Design Thinking Coach at SAP SE in Germany, the global business software company. She has a background in both business information systems and design. She looks back on over fifteen years of expertise in UX, with a total of almost thirty years of working in the IT industry. She leads design research activities of diverse teams, helping them to get empathy for their end users and fostering the generation and design of innovative ideas as well as developing and improving design research methods.

As we all know, Alexandra is Chief User Experience Design Expert, Design Researcher and Design Thinking Coach at SAP SE in Germany.

Topics/ Agenda:

Goals First, Tools and Methods Second: The Importance of Questions and Empathy in Design Projects and Workshops

Alexandra will highlight the importance of, first, understanding more about a project’s background and the goals project stakeholders want to achieve, before deciding on certain methods or tools and putting them into practice. She will discuss examples and best practices along SAP’s human-centered approach to innovation, including Design Thinking sessions, user research activities or setting long-term project objectives. Alexandra will also talk about her educational path and career in the User Experience (UX) domain and is looking forward to an open and interesting online panel discussion with the participants.
