👋 Hello IxDF Málaga! Time to shake things up a bit around here!

I have been in touch with some of you already over LinkedIn and so far the response was quite positive. It’s been a while since the last in-person meeting, and I was wondering if you guys would want to meet up over coffee, beer…whatever really! It would be great to meet fellow designers living in Malaga and nearby cities! What do you say?

I live in Benalmádena, so I don’t know many places in Central Málaga. However, I thought I would suggest a few interesting places I’ve seen to kick things off. I am VERY open to suggestions :)

Hi, my name is Sonia. I am quite a newbie (both to UX and this city) and would love to meet with the pros who live in Málaga. While I am originally from here, after spending over a decade away, I do feel a little foreign to my own city. It has changed A LOT!

It would be great to get together, informally, over a drink. Please use this thread to discuss the meetup, ask questions about the logistics of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi to you all! Thanks a lot, Sonia, I love the initiative. My name is Blanca and I've been a designer for 5 years, most of that time I was focused on the more visual side of the design but some time ago I felt the need to focus on a human center design, so I decided to specialize in UX/UI. It will be an excellent opportunity to meet other designers in Malaga. I‘ve already answered the survey about the date, I'll adapt to what the majority chooses for the place. Have a great week!

Currently working in a crypto based startup and my product design responsibilities are growing, so I signed up here to take my skills to the next level. Hi! Thanks Sonia for the initiative. I’ve answered the doodle, but difficult for me to know in advance. I live in the moment and travel with my van, so I’m not sure where I’ll be. I hope I can make it.
I’m a senior UX/UI designer, working in edTech for the past 5 years, and I have more than 15 years of experience as a digital/graphic designer. I’m from Málaga, but I’ve been out of town for the past 16 years (Madrid, London), so I can’t really help with the best place to meet, I’m “new” in town hehehe.
I would love to meet more designers and share experiences so I’m excited to meet you all :)

Hello! I was pleasantly surprised to find your comments here guys. I am not sure why I haven’t received notifications but I am so excited to learn more about you and be able to facilitate this meet up.

So far it seems that the preferred date for the meetup is the Friday 24th between 9-11PM. I will edit the event to reflect this and close the doodle. We will meet at La Tía Juana as the other options seemed more suited for an early meet up. Is everyone cool with this? :)

Things have gotten a little complicated for me around those dates (ironically) as I am moving houses that weekend 🤯 but I will be there!
