What are Local Groups?
Local Groups will expand your career network—whether you are interested in learning new skills, finding job opportunities or looking for a new employee.
A Local Group is a group of people who, like you, are passionate about design. Local Groups organize meetings to get inspired, have fun and learn from one another.

Meet-Up Details

They are all around us, but how often do we really think about how much better our lives are because of well-designed services experienced in-person as opposed to SaaS? Think bicycle rentals, bakeries, and public transit as examples.

Come prepared to share about an in-person service and tell us why you love it. Also, curious what are the features made to make just for you!

Try to think outside the box of your typical coffee shop for the service you will talk about!

We will also do an activity to explore what you want this group to be so that it feels like it was designed just for you! No worries if you missed the last one, we will have activities that are independent of what you have contributed so far.

Looking forward to chatting with everyone!

P.S.: In contrast to coffee meetups this is more of a show-up for the start time, otherwise you might miss out on the fun!

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss Make the case for the best part 2: services experienced in-person held on Sep 6, 2022.

Try to think outside the box of your typical coffee shop for the service you will talk about!

Wowzers! Sweeden is light years ahead. Something to think about as you ponder your in-person experiences you cannot imagine life without for September 6th.

What if a microchip eliminated carrying a wallet or concern of how will I…?

Adam, I can’t make it anymore - so sorry. Thanks for organizing so well!

Howdy Beth,

That is unfortunate. We look forward to seeing you at another event soon.

Have an amazing day!

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night!

If you have not yet, don't forget to find a service, experienced in person, that you cannot imagine life without. Try to think outside the box of your favourite coffee shop.

Have an amazing day!

Hi adam, seems you have another meeting in progress. You can let us know if you want to reschedule it.

hey somehow the link for zoom changed if you are trying to get in: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83815849167

hey folks, somehow the link for zoom changed if you are trying to get in: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83815849167

Really sorry for the confusion folks. Somehow the link in my Zoom account was not what I posted here. I don’t remember changing anything.

I will look into this issue and see if I can figure out a cause to prevent similar issues in the future.

I will reschedule this event for another day likely in October.

I am doing a coffee (in-person meetup) next week to change things up a little.

Have an amazing day!

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
