In this brief session, Michael aims to share how teams design things that have huge impact on systems or patterns that we don’t control. Discover how can we design responsibly when we have these outsized impacts.

Prior to joining Uber, Michael was the Chief Design Officer for the Office Product Group at Microsoft. He spent 10 years as the Vice President of Design at Adobe. Michael was also the Chief Creative Officer at Macromedia, the Vice President of Brand Design at Nike, the Chief Creative Officer of Quokka Sports and the Creative Director of Construct.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
