What are Local Groups?

A Local Group is a group of people who, like you, are passionate about design. Local Groups organize meetings to get inspired, have fun and learn from one another.

Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF London, I'm new to the course and would like to meet some of my fellow students and start putting names to faces.

I've picked an enormous venue in the city on a Sunday night, so there will be plenty of space for us. My plan is to take a helium balloon, (something like 1 year old today) so you can easily find us.

It would be great in the future to organise some fun UX exercises and workshop activities, but to start off, I just want to say hello!

If anyone has some fun ideas of things we could do, please chip in.

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss Nebbie Meet UP held on Jan 20, 2019. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hello James! Well done for organising Nebbie Meet UP! I advertised you event on Interaction Design Foundation - UK Facebook page and Tweeter (@IxDF_UK). Please share it.

Hi James. Thanks for arranging a meet-up. I'am completely new to UX Design and am really enjoying the beginners course so far. I think this is a great ice breaker being able to chat over a drink or two. I come from a graphic design background and I'm looking to network and gain insight into how I go about getting back into the job market but specifically UX as I've not worked for 14 years due to family commitments. Looking forward to meeting everyone on the 20th Jan.

Thanks for organising this! Hope to make it!

Looking forward..

Any places to park nearby?

Hello to all attendees of today’s meet-up from IxDF UK Manager. I hope it will be a success. Could you please put a few lines in discussion how the meet-up went, what you discussed and some suggestions for future meet-ups? Thank you.

hello everyone, just dropping you a line to confirm it’s all going ahead today. Hopefully see you later.

Hi, I’m here but can’t see any balloons. Where are you

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
