What are Local Groups?
Local Groups will expand your career network—whether you are interested in learning new skills, finding job opportunities or looking for a new employee.
A Local Group is a group of people who, like you, are passionate about design. Local Groups organize meetings to get inspired, have fun and learn from one another.

Meet-Up Details

Hello IxDF Atlanta, let's meet up and network while doing something fun/creative. The High is hosting the Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon. Let's make it an informal, cozy meet-up with fellow designers & aspiring designers. I'm new to UX and want to learn from/with y'all!

Less than 10% of Wikipedia’s editors are women.
Let’s change that.

"Less than 17% of Wikipedia’s biographies are about women. Wikipedia’s gender gap leaves us with an alarming lack of representation in the world’s most popular online research tool. Join us for the Art+Feminism Edit-a-Thon and be part of an international movement to improve coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia."

Note: General Admission is $14.50. Also, here's the link with more info about the event: https://high.org/event/feminism/

Update 3/16/20: The High Museum has closed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. If anyone is interested in networking or project collaboration thru online means instead, please reach out! Stay safe

Hey All. Sorry to hear we have to cancel. Between the snow and the virus, this is a hard thing to organize. I am interested in attending any online event. I am also looking forward to our next in person event, when things are not so crazy. Take care everyone.

Please log in or join us to post comments in the discussion.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
