Join us from 6:00pm for food, drinks and networking. Talk starts at 6:30pm.

This month we welcome a familiar face on the Leeds UX scene – UX Interface Developer, Nikos Vasileiadis. Join us, to hear all about…

UX: A Developers Perspective

In this talk, we will discuss the developer’s point of view in the UI and UX design process. How can we as designers increase empathy and care about the user experience within the design process itself when dealing with developers. How to win developers trust and make them build your work conflict-free. How does it feel to design user interfaces as a developer? We will discuss where these “two worlds collide” and how a common ground can be found. The answers for all these questions will be revealed in this meet-up!

About Nikos

Nikos has the rare job title of UX Interface Developer. Originally from Greece, now putting down roots in Yorkshire. Having worked for nearly a decade as a freelancer and with a few Leeds agencies, Nikos is essentially a Front-end Developer with a keen interest about what users think, feel and like when interacting with digital products. He used to “steal” his sister’s psychology books and read them to unlock greater understanding of the human psyche.

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss NUX Leeds – Tuesday 29th May – UX: A Developers Perspective held on May 29, 2018. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi Nickos

It will be nice to go to NUX again. I did attend a meeting last year and it would be nice to catch up with one or two people again.

This is just a local NUX Leeds event. NUX events in general are very enlightening in my opinion. Hope to see you there!

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
