Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF London, I am brand new here and would love to invite you to meet online with me for my very first time!

We can discuss UX, of course! and more [in *SKYPE].

>> Sunday 18th July 2021 from 5pm to 6pm BST time zone

In our Skype video call (it won’t be too long in duration because I know how busy we all are), we can say hi (and briefly get to know each other).

We can discuss how best to fill the video call.

For example, share UX problems we’re facing and discuss how we can solve them.

I encourage that any input from anyone at any stage of their learning is valuable. I myself am new and all of different perspectives build up layers of knowledge to share.

I have always loved design, and the recent lockdown inspired me to take the time to begin something new for my personal development. Something new, but also something old, because I had thought about doing graphic/visual design for many years…

Save the date if this sounds of interest, grab your laptop (or phone!), and let’s see each other online! Many thanks, and I can’t wait to meet you to say hello. Don’t forget your cuppa! P.S. There’s a shameless plug (advert) for my new single PAINKILLER (I co-wrote this and recorded my vocals with John Fiddler from Medicine Head).

Kind regards, Belinda

*[SKYPE Maximum attendees x 25]. Be first to register, because it’s a race!! :)

NOTE: If you have the Skype app installed, open it. Otherwise, go to https://web.skype.com. Note that you’ll need a Skype account to create a video call that’s free for anyone to join.

Looking forward to meeting you Belinda!

Hello Kelly, thanks so much for your comment and for attending. I am looking forward to meeting you too! I’m very excited, and of course a bit nervous :)

I will put the agenda in soon, I will work on this today and post etc, thanks

Looking forward to meeting you and the group online Belinda!

Thank you so much, and looking forward to meeting you and the group online too Dr Emmanouil (Manos) Georgiadis

In recent weeks in the lead up to submitting my final Graphic Design coursework, I wished that I had studied design in my younger years and became upset and full of regret. But the truth is, it is where I have arrived to right now on my journey. Being a singer transmits a message, and so does photography, filming, acting, painting, drawing, speaking, writing etc, so I no longer feel sad :)

Agenda for IxDF Meetup 18 07 2021

Skype Video Call Agenda

Good morning from London UK. I completed my Graphic Design NCFE Level 2 Certificate recently, and yesterday started a new part-time summer school course on Photoshop collage (using masks). I went to the college yesterday in person, so it was quite nice to meet other students, but I also like studying online too

Wow, I am so happy to see that so many people are attending tomorrow. I am very excited :)

I am very much looking forward to meeting you all

17:00hrs British Summertime BST

The past couple of days have been busier than usual, so I need to get back to my studying on IxDF as soon as possible. I wonder what tips we all have for each other to keep the consistency with studying?

This is an image of my vocals recorded last year in lockdown for a charity raiser album. I wonder if design ideas could be born out of sound recordings that are emotions straight from my heart and mind…

Sorry I can’t make this one, @Belinda. Hopefully the next one!

Hi Samantha, thanks for your message :) hope to see you soon

Here’s the Skype link again: https://join.skype.com/G5srF7gtykkE

That was so great, thanks to all for coming along :) have a good rest of the day, take care, kindest regards, Belinda

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
