Meetup Details

Join us for the last IxDF Pretoria Speaker Event of the year. As always, it's free :D
Our awesome speakers Pierre Leeflang, Christil Loubser-Hattingh, and Jason Cunningham, will take us through the ins, outs, and challenges of running a Design Sprint.

"A Design Sprint is a unique five day process for validating ideas and solving big challenges through prototyping and testing ideas with customers. The book “How To Solve Big Problems and Test New Ideas in Just Five Days” (by Jake Knapp) refers to it as “The ‘greatest hits’ of business strategy, innovation, behavioural science, and more.”"

Please RSVP on Meetup so we have a better idea of attendance: https://www.meetup.com/IxDFAFrica/events/266428986...

Meet in Hall C, or find us outside before the event starts :)

Pierre Leeflang is a Senior UX Engineer at one of South Africa’s top technology companies, Entelect. Pierre is an avid lover of coffee, adventures and user interfaces. These – and the fear of not getting a decent seat on the Gautrain – are just some of the things that get him up in the morning.

Christil Loubser-Hattingh is an Entelect UX Engineer by week and passionate hiker-meets-Harry-Potter-fanatic by weekend. She thrives on the thrill of creating interaction pathways and user journeys with the help of coffee. The future of tech is something that keeps Christil on her toes and driven in the game.

Jason Cunningham is a UX Engineer at Entelect with a background in Communication Design. He’s a horrible golfer, okay-ish soccer player and better UX’er. Start up a conversation with him by asking about his interest in minimalism.

Meetup Conversation

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss Speaker Event: Design Sprints held on Nov 27, 2019. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi Everyone :) Looking forward to seeing you at the meetup tomorrow night! We have some exciting new things coming up for the new year too.

Hola everyone! Please note we are meeting in the Blue Room today not Hall C. We will be outside to guide everyone but if you are late, the building to your right, up the stairs, right down the hallway and you'll walk into it :)

Please log in or join us to post comments in the conversation.

Meetup attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meetup by clicking “Attend this meetup” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meetups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meetup (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meetups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
