Meet-Up Details

πŸ‘‹πŸ½ Hello, IxDF Minneapolis!

This is the third in a series of regular meetups where we can talk about ways that the Interaction Design Foundation can support you, other IxDF members, and the broader UX community. It’s also an opportunity to meet community members and network!

Come & go as you please during the hour. We can keep things casual & informal, but we may still try to gather insights on the topic of β€œsupport,” including ideas about future events & activities.

Google Meet joining info:

  • Video call link here.

  • Or dial: β€ͺ(US) +1 515-207-6252‬ PIN: β€ͺ929 702 371‬#

  • International phone numbers here.

Possible discussion topics:

  • Do you or other members need support with an IxDF course?

  • What sort of UX events or activities energize you?

  • How can we increase engagement & participation in our online forums?

  • In what ways can IxDF complement the good work of other local UX organizations, or should we collaborate?

As we progress through this series of meetups, we hope that it will become clear what sort of activities, events, and/or forums would be most useful to you and the community. Then we can put energy towards that accordingly.

Also remember: Everyone is welcome at our meetups. You don’t need to be a member of IxDF (the Interaction Design Foundation), and you don’t even need to live in the area. In terms of experience, you can be a seasoned UXer, or you can just be starting your UX journey.

Please post any questions, ideas, or other comments about this meeting below. Or just say hello! We look forward to seeing you online!

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss the next online β€˜Support & Networking’ meetup to held on Fri, Feb 3, 2023. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else. Also comment if you’d like future meetups to be held on a different day-of-the-week or time-of-the-day. We want to know how to serve you!

I can’t make this one, but how often do they come around?

Hi, Danielle! We are doing about once per week, at least until we complete this series. If you keep an eye on the IxDF Minneapolis web page, we will post new meet-up info there, and you should also receive an email. I hope this helps. Feel free to reply if you have more questions.

Please log in or join us to post comments in the discussion.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking β€œAttend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as β€œattending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
