Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss Sydney IDF Meetup held on Dec 15, 2019. Feel free to suggest a place and agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Can't do Sundays, family commitments. Happy to do a weeknight though.

Hope that we can do on weekdays. Weekend always has some family commitment!!

Prefer a weekday as well. Somewhere in the city. How about on the ground floor of the new library. 35 Tumbalong Bvd, Haymarket NSW 2000. There is also a lot of outdoor space if you are comfortable sitting on the grass.

I'd love to attend but all depends on the decided meet-up location, i.e. distance from home.

Hi all,

I have confirmed the location for Sunday 15/12 meetup place (see event description).

It is 5 minutes walk from Central station.

See you there,

Antoine

Also I will aim to organise another one toward end of January during weekdays.

Hi all,

Following Sunday meetup I am sharing here a couple of useful links we discussed :

Also:

  • moving forward with these meetups we will be thinking to do a serie of hands-on/practical sessions on a non-too-fictive project we create to share technical skills etc. Let's aim to have the first one in Jan / Feb 2020. More details to come!
  • looking to organise something toward the last week of Jan with Tesltra Purple to discover how they works

Happy to get your comments and opinion!

Antoine

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
