📌tech.fast: I Am an Idiot (Co-host Softhouse)

This talk explores the concept of stupidity as a design tool and how embracing a beginner’s mindset can transform the way we approach creativity and problem-solving.

Often, we equate intelligence with expertise and knowing the “right” answers. However, as designers, our greatest strength lies in asking the right questions and staying open to unexpected solutions. By intentionally setting aside our assumptions and embracing uncertainty, we can train ourselves to think in new, innovative ways.

Tony will share insights and practical strategies to unlearn rigid thinking, approach challenges with playful curiosity, and reimagine problems with the perspective of someone seeing them for the first time. By embracing idiocy—not as a flaw, but as a method—we unlock the potential to discover ideas that traditional thinking might never uncover.

This talk is for anyone who wants to think more creatively, challenge norms, and see the world through the fresh eyes of a designer.
