Meet-Up Details

The Centre of Enterprise, Design & Innovation (CEDI) in the Faculty of Business, Law & Digital Technologies, University of Winchester, has put together a series of design networking events for students, staff and industry to get together, demonstrate technology, innovative industry projects and different talks from various design disciplines.

We would love you to join us in promoting and learning about the different design disciplines and innovative technology amongst industry design professionals, staff and students.

Our first session is:

24th Sept Networking – Introductory session, welcoming you to our new CEDI/DMD Networking series and our new Collaborative Space, DMD Studio, 3D Lab and CEDI lab.

Future events include:

  1. 1st Oct Networking - 1 x 20 min industry presentation/talk and 1 x 20 min student presentation (1st Friday of each month)

  2. 8th Oct Technical Demonstration - Staff, Students or Industry – demonstration of technology being used in industry (2nd Friday of each month)

  3. 15th Oct 2 hour Design Challenge – a design challenge for groups of students, industry and staff to try and resolve in the collaborative workshop

  4. 22nd Oct Creative Freedom – Art, Craft, or similar, to simply have fun creating (timed drawing challenges for example)

  5. 29th Oct Over to Industry – Industry led event of choice, space for own event

  6. 5th Nov Networking - 1 x 20 minute industry presentation/talk and 1 x 20 min student presentation

  7. 12th Nov Technical Demonstration - Staff, Students or Industry

  8. 19th Nov 2 hour Design Challenge – another design challenge session

  9. 26th Nov Creative Freedom – Art, Craft, or similar, to simply have fun creating

  10. 3rd Dec Networking - 1 x 20 minute industry presentation/talk and 1 x 20 min student presentation

  11. 10th Dec Technical Demonstration - Samantha Kingston of Virtual Umbrella will be providing a VR session today.

  12. 17th Dec Mini Christmas Exhibition – projects, design and art outcomes
