Meet-Up Details

Kia ora, IxDF Canterbury!

Who is keen to meet for a beer and discuss our experience and learning of user experience? I'm not sure how large this group is, but was thinking it could be fun to meet in a bar or restaurant somewhere central towards the end of April or early May, introduce ourselves and chat about any projects, tips, strategies and methods etc.

It would be great if we could encourage UX momentum and community down in the south island!

Cheers!

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss UX and Beers: Christchurch Edition held on May 3, 2018. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi Zoe, how are you doing? I've created this group not so long ago and it's good to finally see some people joining it. Right now we are 4 members but I'm keen to try to make it bigger. =)

Hi guys,

Great to see some contacts in Christchurch! I'm keen to come along!

Kat

Heeey, is it happening?

Hi all,

Hope your week is going well!

The Christchurch game developer meetup is on tomorrow night so I propose that we think about an alternate date for this IxDF introduction meetup. Alternatively, if you are interested in game design, feel free to go to meetups and attend the game developer meetup too!

This is a regular meetup for and run by the game developer community. My current UX research project is concerned with designing a game so I need to make it to this session, but the meetups are generally interesting.

Also your recommendations for locations for the future IxDF session are welcomed! I returned to Christchurch early last year so you are likely to have ideas for good spots that I haven't yet made it to.

Hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone.

Cheers,

Zoe.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
