Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF London, I’ve just joined the platform and started learning. My knowledge is all over the place, I would love to talk about what I’m learning and putting the pieces together - hearing how everyone else is getting along!

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss UX on the river held on Aug 1, 2023. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi Kit, thanks for organising this. I’d love to come but sadly I can’t make that date. Please do let me know if you organise another one going forward.

Are there any times that work for you? I’d really like to be inclusive with timing. I hope to meet you soon!

Hi Kit, I’m interested in attending - I’m an aspiring UX Designer/Service Designer, currently working in marketing. Where exactly will this be? I don’t know Greenwich Park well.

Hi Kit, my work is all over the place so it’s hard to give exact times. I wish I could! I might be able to shift some things and get somewhere from around 630 but realise this may be too late for some. Hope to meet you soon too!

Mostly it’s just luck of the day that I’m not at work!

Hi, I won’t be around for this meet up, but welcome to IxDF and to learning about UX.

I’ve posted a link that shows where we will meet, and what transport you can use to get there.

Hi Kit, this is such a thoughtful initiative. I would love to attend.

Could you tell me more about the agenda of the meeting and since I wont be in London at the said time. Could a hybrid meeting be possible.

I could join virtually.

Thanks

Hi Leke, I’m so sorry that I haven’t replied earlier - I don’t think I will be able to do hybrid. My intention is to gather as a group to discuss what we are learning, what we are enjoying and to get to know some other students! I think that I will organise another session, and I hope that you can come to that one :-)

Hi Kit,
Thanks for replying. Really appreciate that. I’m having relocation plans to Canada and I’m currently in Nigeria at the moment. So there is a real chance, I won’t be able to attend the next one either.

I thoroughly honor your intention for gathering. I wouldn’t suggest any other way. However, if it were possible, could you have one session that is completely virtual. The intention of your meeting wouldn’t be changed in the slightest, only the means of accomplishing it.

Perhaps you could ask some of the attendants of this in-person meeting if it’s something they might be up for.

Hey man(Kit), you’re doing a great work in helping facilitate some of these discussions anyways. Even if things don’t go my way, I’m really thankful for your leadership.

I connected on Linkedin btw, kindly connect. :-)

Hi,

I’m up for joining the meet up! thanks for organising :)

Hello everyone! I had thought that it would be nice to enjoy some sunshine but it looks like the weather has other plans! I think it might be prudent to move this indoors, and I will post a link of where the venue is. It will be close to the park, so as not to cause too much confusion!

Hello,

I am joining the meet-up. Thanks.

Hey! I’m really looking forward to this and providence has kept the rain at bay. Here is the link to the location again: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1MB3c60WtrclkDgcn5D9lNDv1O5H_-EQ&usp=sharing

I’ll be wearing a great big white sweatshirt with a Keith Haring design on it. See you then!

Hi Kit, it turns out I lost control of my day. If you found an indoor space please post the location here and I’ll try to join later!

Hi Kit,
I got to the wrong place. I was in North Greenwich. Don’t think I can make it.

Hi Kit, How did the meeting go?

Please log in or join us to post comments in the discussion.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
