Storyboarding 101: From Ideas to Narratives
Storyboarding is the hidden language behind filmmaking and animation. It’s more than just figuring out how to shoot the shot—it’s the skeleton structure of the visual story you’re trying to tell. Storyboarding uses design, writing and visual storytelling principles that can be applied to any field requiring an audience to buy into your story.
In this Master Class webinar, Storyboard Artist Kay Carmichael will take you through storyboarding as a writer's tool, and how you can use this powerful artform as a writer, marketer, designer, creative manager or director with minimal actual drawing knowledge. You’ll even learn how to deal with perspective like a pro boarder.
You'll learn:
-
Cinematography and how to choose shots.
-
Simple drawing tricks to get you making worlds of your own.
-
The design languages of distance, scale and main characters.
-
How to make meaning and how to create narrative sequences with impact.
This Master Class is for anyone who wants to learn the ins and outs of storyboarding and would like to develop their own engaging narratives, whether for design, film, virtual reality and more.
