UX Writing: How To Use Words As A Design Power Tool
The basics of language are easy, right? We all write emails, texts, and more. So why are so many software development hours spent agonizing over which words will “fix” broken experiences? Companies have learned that visual and interaction design systems make and save them money—and build customer satisfaction, trust, and brand affinity—but still, many companies ignore words in this equation.
What’s missing is a shared understanding of what makes UX content good. The words should meet heuristic quality benchmarks, align with customer goals and business priorities, and make a measurable impact. The content should be as consistent as the navigational elements, and convey the brand as clearly as the color palette.
In this Master Class webinar, Torrey Podmajersky, author of Strategic Writing for UX, will lead you through unique frameworks to design content that drives engagement, conversion, and retention by meeting customer goals.
You’ll learn:
- What makes UX writing good
- What UX content is, and how it’s different from other kinds of content
- A framework to align UX content voice to business principles
- Where UX writing fits in to the design and development process
- Methods to measure the impact of content on customer and business goals
- Bonus! What is UX writing vs. Content strategy vs. Content design?
Join this Master Class to learn how you can start to examine and improve your UX content, even if your team doesn’t feel like it has room for a dedicated writer. Identify quick opportunities for improvements with the frameworks you’ll learn from Torrey. Even if you cannot attend it live, register to get a recording that you can watch anytime afterwards!
