Alain April is a Professor of Software Engineering and a long standing member of the Research Laboratory at the École de Technologie Supérieure (ETS) - Université du Quèbec.

He is currently Co-editor of the Guide to the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge software maintenance and software quality chapters. He is also actively involved in international software engineering standards (WG25 on ITIL processes).

Professor April has more than 25 years of industry experience in information systems quality and software engineering.
