Dr. Phillips has lectured on topics concerning processes involved in learning to do research for the PhD degree to staff and postgraduate students in universities of four continents. She has also supervised and examined many PhD candidates. Estelle was involved in discussions concerning the introduction of a European doctorate and the transformation of the Australian PhD; contributed to radio and television programmes in the UK and overseas and features in several training videos concerned with research.
