Ivan Burmistrov

20+ years of human-computer interaction research in academia and usability engineering in software industry. Last 15 years on UX managerial positions. Universal expert in all areas of user experience research and user-centered design.

Ivan pioneered HCI research and usability engineering since late 80s. Currently he is head of interUX Usability Engineering Studio (Tallinn, Estonia) and a researcher at the Laboratory of Work Psychology at Moscow State University. His current research is focused on the study of interruptions in human-computer interaction and he maintains a website on this topic, www.interruptions.net. In 2004-2007 he was Chair of RusCHI, Central Russia SIGCHI local chapter.
