Author: Janet E. Finlay

Ph.D

Janet E. Finlay is Project Manager at Cardiff University. Previously she was Professor of Technology Enhanced Learning at Leeds Met with research interests in sharing and representing academic practice, coaching for learning and the use of technology to support assessment, learning and teaching (at present particularly podcasting, social media, online conferencing and ePortfolios).

She was Project Director for the JISC-funded Curriculum Design Project PC3 (Personalised Curriculum Creation through Coaching) and a partner on the NTFS-funded project Share, led by Professor Sally Fincher at the University of Kent, which explored how teachers transfer practice effectively. She instigated a European project called EuroPLOT, within the Lifelong Learning programme, which started in November 2010, which will develop a framework for persuasive reusable learning resources. Partners are Aalborg University and DHI in Denmark, University of Hradec Kralove in Czech Republic, Danube University Krems in Austria and London Metropolitan University in the UK.
