Niels Ebbe Jacobsen is Head of Research at the Danish Consumer Council. He holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science, a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction both from Copenhagen University, Denmark. He also holds an eMBA from Copenhagen Business School. Niels has investigated Usability Evaluation Methods (UEMs) from various perspectives. Niels found a substantial evaluator effect of UEMs like Thinking-Aloud Techniques, Usability Tests, Heuristics Evaluation and Cognitive Walkthrough. This work was done in cooperation with Morten Hertzum, Bonnie John and Rolf Molich.
Niels' interests also include Leadership, Management and Innovation processes.
Niels leads a research group at the Danish Consumer Council who's mission is to conduct comparable consumer product tests. At Nokia Niels was Senior Manager working on user experience and innovation development.
