Design Strategist
Penny Hagen specialises in design strategy and research with an emphasis on employing and appropriating UX design methods, process and technologies to support design for social change. Penny\'s perspective on design is grounded in a 10+ year career as an interaction and interface designer, digital media trainer, researcher and strategist across community and commercial projects. Her interest in emerging interaction design methods led to a research position at IDWOP investigating mobile methods 2004-2006. Penny then went on to lead an experimental design research program at design agency Digital Eskimo, as Projects Director till 2008. Penny is currently completing her PhD on participatory design methods for creating social software.
