Kim Man Lui holds degrees from Tamkang University (Taiwan), the University of Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa) and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong, China). Dr. Lui has many years of experience working in a number of IT positions in the commercial sector in Hong Kong and China. His research interests are in software engineering, e-marketing and investment. He is the lead author of two books in China, CMM and SPI (Tsinghua University Press, Beijing), and eXtreme Programming (Publishing House of Electronics Industry, Beijing). With funding support provided by the city government, he is involved in the set-up of a software center that adopts agile development in China. Dr. Lui. is the lead author of Software Development Rhythms: Harmonizing Agile Practices for Synergy (John Wiley and Sons, 2008).

Dr. Lui is currently writing a new book on investment and stock market. The book is scheduled to be published around Jan of 2012 in China.
