Marianne Graves Petersen is associate professor on University of Aarhus, Computer Science Department since 2006. She has Ph.D from Computer Science Department, University of Aarhus on thesis “Designing for Learning in Use of Everyday Artefacts”.

She has numerous research area including human-computer interaction, interaction design, pervasive computing and home-oriented IT.

Worked on projects such as EVERYDAY SPECIAL (2006-7) Supporting Playful Experiences in Everyday Life at Home, B&O Lab (2006-7), INTERACTIVESPACES (2003-6) iHOME project: Aesthetic interaction and context-aware computing for the home, INTERACTIVE ROOMS AND BUILDINGS (2001) Designing interactive rooms to support design work.

In 2006, M.G. Petersen recieved prestige award from Microsoft Research Cambridge for a one-year research project. She was a member of of organising committee of DPPI 2007, organising committee of Danish HCI Research Symposium,and ,member of programme committee of 3rd European Symposium on Smart Objects and Ambient Intelligence.
